Broadway Casting Director Benton Whitley is responsible for finding the talent in hit shows such as “On the Town,” “Pippin” and “Chicago.” In collaboration with BSG, Benton raided his closet and shared with us his favorite looks for this winter season. From meetings with the top directors and producers on Broadway to traveling around the country for auditions for upcoming productions including “August Rush” and “The Duck Commander Family Musical,” Benton shows us how he stays stylish, professional and comfortable.
Man
About
Town

A day that combines time at the office, meetings about town, checking in on auditions and dropping in on tech rehearsals requires flexibility – dress joggers, a casual thick fabric t-shirt and a streamline trench and white sneakers transition seamlessly between appointments without sacrificing comfort.
Casual Friday

This combination of classic Clarks Chukka boots, a hunter-green jacket and a un-tucked plaid shirt accessorized with a scarf, and a pair of leather gloves are just what the stylist ordered for a chilly Friday. Extra style points for knocking off a little early for a cocktail.
Weekender

An occasional escape from the hustle and bustle of New York City is imperative and deserving of its own uniform. For this, Benton throws on a light tan jacket over a soft wool plaid shirt and pairs it with jeans, a streamline backpack for a tablet and some snacks and a baseball cap for comfort. Catch you on the flip side.
Active Day

For a Sunday afternoon in Brooklyn that includes a stop at the gym, errands and some quiet time at home to recharge for the week to come, Benton opts for a cashmere zip hoodie, white t-shirt joggers and a pair of stylish tennis shoes.
Night Out

Whether an opening night on Broadway or cocktails and dinner with industry contacts, Benton dresses his look up with a light weight navy blue suit, sweater and fully buttoned white dress shirt with a pocket square for a discrete pop of color.
Snowstorm

New York is notorious for the occasional sneak-up snowstorm and have to believe that 2015 will be no exception. The combination of an oversized winter coat, rugged pants and sweater with a pair of sensible boots to brave the weather provides a fashionable approach to the inclement weather.
Getting
Down to
Business

Whether meeting the Producer or signing the next star of a Broadway show, this classic patterned suit and modern denim shirt exude confidence – think of it as the creative man’s power suit.
