Leslie Odom Jr. may have played his final show as Aaron Burr in the smash hit Hamilton on Saturday night, but just because you may have missed your chance to see the actor in his Tony-winning performance doesn’t mean you’ve seen the last of Odom.
He released his self-titled debut jazz album on June 10, and on Monday night, he celebrated with friends like Cynthia Erivo, Darren Criss, and Danielle Brooks at the McKittrick Hotel. The album is a collection of original jazz tunes, and Odom sang songs like “Autumn Leaves” and “The Party’s Over” before a crowd of industry insiders and adoring fans.
The concert was the first in a series of gigs Odom will play at the McKittrick. He will have a concert residency at the space’s Manderley Bar and will perform, along with special guests, on Thursday nights July 14-28.
