Robbie Fairchild: An American Gentleman

08_Gallery_Fairchild

Robbie Fairchild is enjoying his final few weeks in Paris—An American in Paris, that is. The New York City Ballet principal dancer made his Broadway debut in the musical, based on the 1951 Gershwin-scored movie, and will play his final performance in the show on March 13. Fairchild earned a Tony nomination last season for his portrayal of the titular American, played by Gene Kelly in the film, who falls in love with a beautiful French ballerina.

Broadway Style Guide spent the afternoon with Fairchild at The New York Shaving Company on Elizabeth Street downtown. We dressed Fairchild in a selection of Todd Synder suits. “I’ve never felt so fly before!” Fairchild says.
